Project Challenges & Solutions

  • Remote Working Area:
To address the challenge of the remote location, we secured local housing for our workforce, ensuring the team had reliable accommodations throughout the project.
  • High Fluctuating Tides:
Given the coastal location, high and fluctuating tides posed a challenge for material deliveries. We collaborated with a local barge firm to ensure timely transportation of construction materials.
  • COVID-19 Pandemic:
The pandemic heightened concerns among our crew. In response, we implemented several protocols to address health and safety, such as providing single accommodations instead of shared, and offering flexible work turnaround schedules to support our team during this challenging period.
  • Poor Rock Quality:
Upon discovering that the rock quality was subpar, we swiftly re-engineered the rock bolting sequence, enabling us to maintain efficiency in forming and pouring the dam structure.
