Our Collaboration With First Nations

Rockwood Civil Solutions played a key role in establishing the Kalo Due Limited Partnership, a collaboration between Willowlake Environmental and Eiffage Canada. This partnership was formed to unite their strengths and work together on significant civil projects across Canada. Our shared mission is to “Actively Engage” the community and its members, creating opportunities for local involvement and contributing to a lasting legacy.

Currently, Eiffage Canada is employing several members of Willowlake Environmental on projects in Western Canada. These individuals are gaining valuable trade skills and experience, positioning them to play a pivotal role in future projects within their respective territorial lands.

The seeds of this partnership were planted in 2017, when Rockwood Civil Solutions’ John Krasko first met Jimmy Mendo while pursuing the Tlicho All-Season Road (TASR) P3 project. Although we were not successful in that pursuit, Jimmy and John maintained their friendship and decided to build something more meaningful together – a legacy founded on trust and a shared vision for a better future. The Kalo Due Limited Partnership embodies this vision with the statement: “A partnership creating a legacy of trust to build a brighter future.”

The Kalo Due Limited Partnership’s goal is to employ, train, and retain local talent, ensuring that prosperity is shared equally among everyone. Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of this partnership, aimed at fostering equal opportunities and creating a lasting impact.

In addition, Rockwood Civil Solutions is proud to be a partner in the JEGA TUE Limited Partnership, based in Tulita, NWT. This partnership, also formed with Jimmy Mendo, focuses on delivering projects in the Sahtu Region, continuing our commitment to community engagement, skill development, and regional prosperity. Together, we are working to build a brighter and more inclusive future.
